Meet the Hearts Behind Simon Recovery

Cynthia Simon — Founder, Simon’s Recovery
Outreach Foundation
Cynthia Simon is a Surgical Technologist with 38 years of experience in the healthcare field and
the founder of Simon’s Recovery Outreach Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting
individuals and families facing domestic violence, homelessness, financial hardship, and other
life-changing circumstances.
For more than a decade, Cynthia has devoted herself to serving homeless women and children,
survivors of domestic violence, veterans, and individuals experiencing poverty or other
disadvantages. Her community work has included partnerships with organizations such as Center
of Hope Women and Children’s Shelter, Kind Hearts, and Hannah’s House, collaborating with
others who share her commitment to helping people rebuild their lives.
Cynthia’s passion for this work is deeply personal. As a survivor of domestic violence herself, she
understands the uncertainty, fear, and financial challenges that can make leaving an abusive
situation incredibly difficult. Her mission is to help survivors escape unsafe environments,
overcome financial barriers, and know that they do not have to navigate the journey alone.
Simon’s Recovery Outreach Foundation has also partnered with a nonprofit clinic to help expand
access to supportive medical services within the community.
Cynthia’s long-term vision is to establish a multipurpose facility that brings safe housing,
education, life-skills development, supportive services, activities, and other critical resources
together under one roof. She envisions a place where individuals and families can move beyond
surviving a crisis and gain the tools, encouragement, and opportunities they need to build stable,
independent futures.
For Cynthia Simon, service is more than an occupation—it is a lifelong commitment shaped by
personal experience, compassion, and a steadfast belief that a difficult chapter does not have to
define the rest of a person’s story.

Harry Simon — Administration & Event Advisor, Simon’s Recovery Outreach
Harry Simon is a dedicated community advocate, ministry leader, and administrative professional
whose life has been defined by more than four decades of service to others. Following a
successful career in retail management and the airline industry, including his role as a Base
Administrator with Mesa Airlines, Harry retired from the airline industry in 2022 and has
continued to devote his time, experience, and leadership to ministry and community service.
With 45 years of experience in Christian ministry, including the past decade serving in the Dallas-
Fort Worth area, Harry has developed a lifelong commitment to helping individuals and families
navigate difficult circumstances. For more than 30 years, he has worked alongside organizations
and community initiatives serving people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and other
hardships.
His community service has included work with United Way and Star of Hope Mission in Houston,
as well as outreach efforts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in partnership with Center of Hope and
other local nonprofits. Through this work, Harry has focused on providing practical assistance,
encouragement, and hope to underserved communities.
Today, Harry serves as Administration and Event Advisor for Simon’s Recovery Outreach, where
he supports the organization’s operations, community outreach, and special events. In this role,
he is helping bring founder Cynthia Simon’s vision to life: reaching as many people in need as
possible and providing them with the resources, encouragement, and support they need not
simply to survive, but to thrive.
Harry’s commitment to Simon’s Recovery Outreach is also deeply personal. Before becoming his
wife, Cynthia was a survivor of domestic violence. Witnessing the profound impact of that
experience on her life—and seeing how it inspired her commitment to helping other survivors—
has strengthened Harry’s dedication to supporting individuals and families as they rebuild their
lives.
After decades of serving people who often lack the resources and support systems others may
take for granted, Harry remains committed to standing alongside those facing hardship. His faith,
compassion, administrative expertise, and spirit of service continue to guide his work and
reinforce his belief that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and someone willing to stand
with them.
